The corporate infrastructure
for a multi-planetary economy.

West Galactic LLC is the holding company behind HALO — a phased space-infrastructure program designed to make long-term industry beyond Earth practical. The program begins with lunar power, expands into lunar industrial output and freight, and culminates in HALO-1: a gravity-capable orbital industrial base.

“Space does not need another destination.
It needs infrastructure.”
— Core thesis · West Galactic

Space is not lacking ambition; it is lacking infrastructure. On Earth, a wrench is ordinary. In orbit, that same wrench becomes a payload, a schedule issue, a launch window, a logistics problem, and a mission-planning event. Modern launch improvements matter, but launches alone do not produce a normal industrial environment.

Roads, ports, power systems, depots, factories, maintenance cycles, and routine freight rhythms are what make ordinary things ordinary. Space has not yet built that layer at meaningful industrial scale. West Galactic exists to organise the missing layers into a sequenced, executable program — the HALO chain.

The HALO Program · Six Operating Layers

A sequenced
infrastructure chain.

HALO is not a single station concept. It is a dependency map for the industrial backbone required to make orbital industry rational. Each layer proves and enables the next. The order is the invention.

  1. 01 LayerLunar power

    AURORA

Generation, storage, transmission, continuity, and utility-scale lunar energy infrastructure. The first enabling layer — without persistent power, there is no mining, refining, fabrication, launcher, or industrial uptime.

Lunar energy · Persistent powered footprint
  2. 02 LayerLunar industry

    MOONFORGE

Excavation, beneficiation, oxygen extraction, shielding products, early metallurgy, fabrication, and standardised lunar industrial outputs. Turns lunar material from raw resource potential into useful industrial output.

Lunar mining · Refining · Fabrication
  3. 03 LayerLunar freight

    RAILSTAR

Electromagnetic launch infrastructure, export cadence, canister standards, cargo handling, and lunar-to-cislunar freight flow. Turns lunar production into an exportable supply corridor for orbital construction.

Lunar mass-driver · Cislunar export corridor
  4. 04 LayerOrbital handling

    SHEPHARD

Cargo receipt, stabilisation, towing, sorting, yard operations, and material movement. Prevents the orbital build process from becoming improvised and fragile.

    Orbital interception & handling vehicles
  5. 05 LayerOrbital port

    AXLEPORT

Docking, transfer, staging, handling, and the clean interface between visiting spacecraft and rotating infrastructure. Functions as the orbital port, logistics hub, and construction-yard anchor.

    Non-rotating orbital hub · Construction-yard interface
  6. 06 LayerOrbital base

    HALO

Rotating 1g-class environment for manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, long-duration work, storage, docking, and later ring expansion. The first major threshold asset created by the earlier infrastructure chain.

    Gravity-capable orbital industrial base

HALO-1 · Threshold Asset

The first
major outcome.

HALO-1 is the first visible major outcome of the West Galactic infrastructure chain — not the first move. The chain comes first; HALO-1 is what becomes possible because of it.

A gravity-capable orbital industrial base

An orbital warehouse, factory, worksite, port, and long-duration industrial environment.

HALO-1 is designed around gravity as a practical industrial condition, not a luxury feature. Most human industry assumes gravity: warehouses, tools, plumbing, storage, maintenance, ergonomics, long-duration work, and daily life. A 1g-capable orbital environment creates a more believable path for manufacturing and operations to become normal beyond Earth.

HALO-1 is the first member of a repeatable modular ring family, not the final end state. Microgravity remains valuable for specific tasks — but it should not be the permanent default environment for every form of off-world industry.

Founder & Chairman

A long-horizon principal.

Founder · Chairman · Sole Member

Jacques West

Jacques chartered West Galactic in April 2026 to organise the missing infrastructure layer of off-world industry under one long-horizon roof. A dual South African and Canadian citizen based in Pretoria, he runs the Office of the Chairman directly and works personally on the legal, financial, and engineering architecture of every program layer.

His operating conviction is simple: the next phase of space will not be unlocked by launches alone — it will be unlocked by infrastructure. West Galactic is structured to outlast its founders. Capital follows dependency, not narrative. Each layer compounds the next, and HALO-1 becomes the first real proof that humanity's industrial base can extend beyond a single planet.
